Ordering Process

At Southern Recreation, we want you to know how we can help you to complete your park or playground  project. If you have any questions, please feel free to give us a call and we’ll be happy to discuss our services.

  • Getting Started

    Our first step is to come to your site to discuss the specific parameters of your project and how we can assist you in completing your goals. At this time, we will do a site inspection to assess exactly what will be needed in order to properly prepare your proposal.

  • Project Proposal

    After we have determined what type of equipment and ground cover will be best, we will provide you with a complete proposal itemizing and detailing all aspects of the project. The proposal will address site preparation, equipment to be installed and appropriate ground cover. It can also include drawings, 3-D color renderings, and specifications as needed.

  • Deposit

    If you are an existing customer with Southern Recreation, we will not require a deposit from you. If this is the first time that we have worked together, we will need a 50% deposit with your signed proposal.

  • Schedule + Installation

    Once we have your signed proposal/terms and conditions, your deposit, and any other information we have requested. Your project will be entered into our system and ordered through our manufacturer. You can view the average lead times below. Once your project is received in our warehouse, we try to get it on our installation schedule within 1 to 2 weeks. You will be notified of the scheduled installation date. If you have a specific date that you need your project installed by, please let us know when you submit your proposal.

  • Average Lead Times

    Playstructures run about *8-10 weeks to ship from the manufacturer to our warehouse. Please note that our busy season runs from May-August and may vary the lead time slightly.

    *If you are ordering shades and shelters the engineering and permitting will be worked on concurrent with the ordering of the products so everything is completed when the product are in.

    Amenity lead times are approximately 2 weeks

  • During Installation

    You will not need to provide anything during the installation of your project. Our services are turn key, so all necessary tools, equipment, concrete, and final cleanup are included.

  • Equipment Inspection

    To make absolutely certain that your equipment has been properly installed, we will have an NPSI* certified playground consultant inspect your project and ensure that proper installation and safety guidelines** have been met.
